Intelidox allows you to color-code chart items by specialty, and includes features intended to make life easier for certain specialties. For example, 81 percent of the pediatricians without EMRs who responded to the 2004-05 Community Tracking Study (CTS) Physician Survey reported that the inability to find an EMR that met pediatric-specific requirements was a barrier to adoption. Intelidox addresses this need by providing features such as growth charts (including specialized growth charts for children with Down, Noonan, Prader-Willi, or Turner's syndromes) and automatic calculations of height/weight-based body metrics such as body mass index (BMI) and body surface area (BSA). Intelidox's enhanced drawing features and imaging storage will be particularly useful to surgeons; use a pen-based system such as a Tablet PC to draw directly on electronic forms to diagram scars or surgical incisions, etc. Ophthalmologists can draw directly on electronic forms used to monitor glaucoma patients.
